The Intel Core i3 series is a family of processors known for their balance between performance and cost. The i3-8100, i3-9100, i3-9100F, and i3-9350KF all share similar core and thread counts, with each processor featuring four cores and four threads. This configuration provides a solid foundation for multitasking and everyday computing tasks. However, the i3-10100 and i3-10105 stand out in this series with their higher thread count. These processors feature four cores but have eight threads, offering improved performance in multi-threaded applications and more efficient handling of simultaneous tasks.

Frequency and Power Consumption in Intel i3 Processors

When it comes to operating frequency, the i3-9350KF leads the pack with a base frequency of 4.00 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.60 GHz. The i3-10105 follows closely with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.40 GHz. On the other hand, the i3-9100T operates at a lower base frequency of 3.10 GHz, but it stands out in terms of power efficiency. It has a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of just 35 W, significantly lower than the 65 W to 91 W range of the other processors. Furthermore, it offers configurable TDP-down options, allowing for further power conservation at a lower base frequency of 2.40 GHz.
